A pure soul will come, a free mind, someone who for the sake of truth will reconstruct the tortuous sociopolitical-cultural path of the last fifty years, finally freeing us from the nightmare of being an illusory testimony of the memories of others.
From the old colonialism of the empires to the sophisticated colonization of economies and markets, which makes the subjection more ambiguous and oppressive; we have gone from an epic of conquest, exploitation and civilization to a technological development that tends to concentrate power and wealth in the hands of a few able to drive it.

Once the empires had fallen and the regimes were over, it seemed possible an explosion of new energies, ideas, and at least an update of the thought and culture that interpreted the political and cultural hegemony of the West, the post-war avant-garde as an intellectual provocation and at the same time research and experimentation of new high-risk utopias.
But, there is the cumbersome but all war left between the feet of the survivors, winners and losers, to hinder the road of great changes. Because victory and defeat are not only those of arms and armies, but the new set-ups political and economic consequences. And it is to these that we must refer to a non-humoral and moralistic analysis.
I feel the lack of a new expressionism, a Grosz, that without
tearful benevolences bring us back to reality, and without ill-concealed goodness, for example a lot of preachy cinema and much literature of the forties-fifties that have entered the legend of the so-called neorealism.
A reverent and celebratory thought, of course, but also cultural delay that has delayed the awareness of the direction towards which we were moving.
The historical materialism of surviving real socialism, and the consumerism of industrialized societies exacerbated by the refined marketing techniques and modern advertising that are increasingly able to create fictitious needs, typical of liberalism.

Large amounts of capital are moved in real time via computers and goods and people across borders that no longer constitute protectionist barriers of local and sectoral interests.
The multinationals control the new dimensions of production and consumption.
However, on the threshold of two thousand, the problem of whether our model of development is compatible with world hunger, the defense of the environment, the unbalanced demographic development between rich and poor countries, acculturation as an instrument of base to promote respect for the dignity and freedom of man, of all men in every corner of the earth.
Well no, it is not.
Perhaps we do not realize that the destiny of our civilization is at stake, we have built a machine that produces wealth and destroys the resources of the environment in which we live.
And wealth remains the privilege of a minority stuck up in defense of its power.
This, while we already feel the pressure of population growth, of large population movements on the verge of survival.
A disquieting and in some ways contradictory scenario is outlined: Technological and technocratic civilization incapable of imagining a project that is the basis of economic and industrial globalization as a "global society" based on the principle of integration.In a world in which everything now tends to become global, integration assumes the determining value of a mutual completion of means, resources, capacity. Tolerance and respect between cultures, religions, customs and traditions whose differences must be able to live together to foster the spiritual, social and civil enrichment of the various ethnic identities, recognizing their rights and duties.
The difference is a greater wealth for all and can not be discriminating for a design of prevalence or dominance of one over the other. Historical factor of disintegration is the fundamentalism of each diversity.

These battles of prevarication are alarming signs of restoration of strong antihistoric powers, which we should consider outdated.
Today the time is ripe for a great work of harmonization that makes everyone civilly compatible and supportive.
Every identity is the bearer of a great patrimony of values, and it is on these values that we can build a common territory, with the contribution of all.
A true integration can not be separated from the principles of loyalty and human solidarity, this on the moral and social level: The search for this alternative expresses the discomfort and intolerance towards the model of society that we have pursued according to a scheme of "affirmation or survival" ".
Western civilization in its historical passages has refined its tools to safeguard the continuity of a culture but not so that everyone could recognize themselves, winners and losers.Religious moral and secular morality, the individual morality that is realized in the relationship between man and conscience with the mysteries of the universe and of existence, and the secular morality that inspires the rules and laws that protect the rights of the whole community.
But in the age of virtual reality and the commodification of ideas it is ever more difficult to defend truths and values, to recognize rights and duties, to call the individual to his responsibilities, and so the path to the invasion of mass moralism remains open. what even the conscience of origins and traditions is dispersed. Ignoring what we are, we end up identifying ourselves in what little or much we manage to appear.It remains to be seen if the civilization of science and technology is able to solve more problems than it creates. It is a doubt that makes us more fragile despite the feeling of being able to control a greater number of situations and events until recently unknown or unexplained.
Those who do not play the game soon find themselves marginalized and forced to seek refuge soothing away from the roar that takes away the soul.
In the silence of this imaginary solitude, some, strong spirits and enlightened minds, can trace back to the source of spirituality that pervades every human being, as the principle of life.
It could be the beginning of a new existence, the dawn of a civilization finally ready to face the challenge.
