Better rewards, improved posts and a far more appealing platform. Of course the danger is that Steem will get devalued with an influx of new accounts trying to cash in while putting little or no effort to their posts. At some point the reward algorithm needs to account for the quality of the content in the post and the comments added to it. That alone could stamp out the surge in spam and fake posts trying to cash in.

You are absolutely correct when you say that quality needs to be accounted for in some manner before disbursing rewards. Call it a loophole(a gaping one) but a fix needs to be found asap.
