It watched some of this on TV a while back, I sort of watched I don't really pay much attention to the TV in general.
In some ways it seemed like a pie in the sky concept that I could never imagine any short term manager/politician ever adopting. The way our political systems are geared most of the politicians don't set long term goals or give a toss about the planet, they just try to make the books look good for the time they are in office.
That being said they raised some really good points about the lunacy of how our commerce is set up. The way we import stuff that is and should be always be sourced locally has an enormous toll on the planet through all the fuel used ie food miles etc.
Maybe the upcoming generation/s will be better prepared and more willing to adopt some of the concepts presented in the talk. The old farts running the world now love it just the way it is.
