While ETH is very popular and well known as an alternative to Bitcoin, Ethereum Classic or ETC is the one that many people consider as "The Ethereum". ETH, which is Ethereum, may be more prominent in the news but when it comes to long term investment, coin enthusiasts prefer Ethereum Classic.
The algorithmic score as calculated by Coincheckup.com shows ETC to be at no. 1 with a total of 4.7/5. It is significant that the score is higher than Bitcoin and and ETH which stand at only 4.39 and 4.29 respectively. In fact most long term investors have millions invested in ETC.
One of the reasons why Ethereum Classic has a loyal owing is that they consider it to be truly decentralized. The loyal investors have made it possible for ETC to survive and make progress with the development.
There is a wide disparity between the market cap of ETH and that of ETC. In fact ETH is much higher with a market cap of 68.38 billion dollars as compared to a minuscule 1.75 billion dollars of ETC. A similar case is that of Bitcoin but which has a market cap that is only seven times higher than its later offshoot BCH.
Those who have invested in ETC consider it to be superior to ETH especially in terms of technology as well as scalability. Actual reports by miners have indicated that mining Ethereum Classic is more profitable. In fact due to the low price of ETC miners prefer it over ETH as they feel that they will gain one the price starts picking up.
Ethereum Classic has a restriction on supply and hence the token value is bound to become higher. ETH does not have any such restriction. Lastly the team behind ETC has tasted success with their past endeavors and are hopeful of repeating the same success with ETC.
Considering all the factors in its favor including its present low and underestimated value, ETC will soon start moving up in price. By the end of the year experts have predicted that it will touch a value of 500 US Dollars. The difference between ETC and ETH will become narrower this year.
