Before he became The General, @tattoodjay was quite the peaceful individual. He enjoyed casual walks near the beach and really loved taking photographs of the scenery that enveloped his view. He would tell you of times where buildings stood magnificently and your local cafe was but a few blocks away. Ever peaceful, ever inviting. His favorite past time was visiting art displays ranging from vandalistic graffiti to age-old sculptures and paintings. His vivid memory serves well the pictures in his mind as he believed each one was worth a thousand words.
Good memories. But, that's all they were now. Despite seeing the world fluctuate in its rises and falls of different leaderships, there was not much he could do. Not much he wanted to do. He tried to avoid being sucked into the strife of a world that was ignorant of itself. Until, it finally came to his home and interrupted his inner peace. He had ventured to visit his favorite spot and no sooner than he neared the sculpture, a missile strike rendered it rubble. Saddened, as the dust began to settle, he cautiously approached his makeshift sanctuary of solitude to pay his respects. Upon doing so, he noticed something moving. Something rather out of the ordinary considering recent events. He reached down and the little critter hopped up into his palm, and that's when everything really changed for JJ.
The wolf spider spoke to him, and at first, JJ thought he was going mad. But then, it echoed in his mind, "Take this to the Juyo Deity. It will be years before he arrives." Then the spider vanished with an energy surge that pulsed through his body leaving behind the ancient egg in his palm and something else bestowed upon him. Something that took time to begin to grasp. Something that came to true form as the Hadish began to surface and the war started.
War changes a man or woman. Things you never thought you were capable of doing are easily done.
Taking a life, stealing some food, harboring weapons designed to kill, and even leading an army. It was never his choice beyond defending his own turf, but his exploits on and off of the battle field quickly spread to the four corners of the earth.
People followed him into battle by their own volition and desire to be free. People started calling him 'The General' because he really did know how to lead a regimen of forces into battle and *return* with most of the platoon in tact. Add that to his newly discovered and honed 'power', and people were simply 'enlisting' just to be led by The General. Most were fueled by high hopes that they could help turn the tide of this war.
This 'power' mentioned prior, was something that he was starting to understand better and felt almost chosen by the Fates themselves to use. One reason he was able to win his battles so effectively, was because of his illusionist ability. He was able to project images and full scale scenes with the utmost detail to confuse his enemies into thinking they were outnumbered or convince them the battle was actually taking place elsewhere. A simple thing like an imaginary grenade landing in an enemy's stronghold or a complicated act of power have won many skirmishes at his hand and kept the Hadish from overrunning New York.
It had been years since that egg was 'given' to him, and The General always kept it with him, always searching. Unsure why even, but knew he must find this 'Juyo Deity'. The egg itself, which was the one found by the lst Deity,
also knew this, and as such, once X40L1N returned, it began to give The General dreams of guidance on where to find him.
It ultimately led him to a seemingly abandoned temple which made him a little distraught as it was a difficult journey. He saw a slight heat signature and subtle trails of smoke from a nearby fire and approached. Seeing both The Docta and X40L1N, he recognized from his visions that this was him. The Juyo Deity.
"Our newest ally has arrived. Come, sit with us," X40L1N said. "Like you, I have seen your coming."
@tattoodjay looked at them with confidence from beneath his shroud and exclaimed, "I am...The General." The egg was getting very warm in its belted home.
"Welcome," said @michaeldavid with a comfortable smile.
With that, The General removed his hood, and sat down with #thealliance. "We have much to discuss," said X40L1N.
The General nodded his head in agreement, "Yes, yes we do." At which point, he reached into the heated pouch on his belt, pulled out the egg, and handed it to the Deity. "I believe this is for you."

@steemitcomics What I love most about these stories that you create, is how you bring a realistic fantasy into the lives of those who would probably never do so for themselves.
You bring alive - all their best qualities, their strengths and you illuminate them as people - which we ACTUALLY all deserve!
We are ALL such fantastic individuals - "individuals" being the operative word - and I think it is admirable how you have highlighted such.
