RE: The Architecture of Apocalyptic Spite: Deconstructing the Anti-Abortion Movement as a Manifestation of Nihilistic Projection

Yeah, apologies for the edits. I tend do do this after hours when it doesn't matter. I'll be more conscious of it.

Regarding passing it off as my own writing, that has never been the intention. I feel like I've been adamant about stating these are a product of me playing with the technology. If you mean I should add a tag or disclaimer so everyone knows beyond the shadow of a doubt what they are about to consume is heavily AI assisted I don't mind that. I'm not try to take anything away from anyone I just want the discussion I want to have to be clearly presented.

We don't won't ai slop, we want what you have to say in the language you are comfortable saying it in.

I'm also a part of this community and have been for over a decade. I want what I consume to be neat and organized and I don't have a problem with people using whatever tools they have at their disposal to provide that for me.

If people don't want to read it for one prejudice or another they don't have to, but deciding the value of an idea based on one's opinion of the medium it's presented on seems out of line.

Sort:

Take it up with 'the whales', the large stakeholders support what is happening here.
Until power spreads out, you are spitting into the wind, imo.

There isn't an appeal process beyond begging someone in power to allow me a pass? That's not as democratic as I thought we were promoting.

Hive is not a democracy, it's a plutocracy.
By design.

Where 'they' failed was in centralizing tooooo much power with the ninjamine era stake.

Out right telling people that they would reap the pool as hard as they can as long as they can, probably didn't help, either.

Now nobody wants to buy into a rigged game.

The only way out of this is for folks to power up what the restivus give you.
Too few understand that around here.

Until then, it's follow the rules, or get listed.
As you can testify.

Yeah, but who will power up if they're denied rewards? Not even to mention who will buy Hive on the market to come here for this?

I've been pretty much burning Splinterlands profits to promote post but I don't even see the point in that now.

So I guess I don't understand the purpose of this place under these conditions.

The purpose of this place has been served, it was an experiment.

This guy was dead a few weeks later.
Some say he od'd.

I glossed over that but I'm going to need to give it a better look to understand what you're pointing to. Thanks for the direction. 🙂

Aren't they the ones who have enabled the bleeding out of this place to begin with? Hive was a good idea that I've watched fall to ruin because of stuff like this.

Yes, you are correct.
The only way over this hill is for them to sell and us to buy and power up.
At some point, the price will hit the distribution level, likely near .01usd, and then we can look at restructuring what has been intentionally destroyed.

I don't see the price stopping there in this environment.

I'm expecting far below that.

I'm sorry to bother you again, man, but I wonder if we have the resources to just fork and not bring the whales. It worked for them during the Steemit fork.

I want to go to the front page and see something interesting and that's never happened the entire time I've been here.

It's all garbage anyway so why dictate a particular medium has to be excluded?

And I really do want to emphasize medium. No one gives a painter shit for using canvas instead of a cave wall nor do they expect them to dig and crush roots instead of buying paint.

The original post is the medium the idea is painted on. The value it can produce comes from the conversations it starts.

What are your thoughts on it when viewed from that perspective? Do you still feel like it's just AI slop or is it more akin to using tech to extrapolate value from places it may otherwise be to difficult or expensive to reach?

I think this question goes far beyond my personal issue of flagging. I think this is a conversation we are going to have either now, when our opinions can have influence over the directions we choose, or later after we end up wherever we land and look back to realize it's was all the same old song and dance... not different from the powershift heralded by the printing press and every other technology.
