The mountain lion is also called a puma and they are all over the world. They can live very close to cities, the picture I found below is from a park in Los Angeles in California where people jog and frequent every day. They are active at night so people who live nearby should definitely be aware and always keep their eyes open and vigilant. Pets need to be kept inside at night especially small cats and dogs but if we respect them, they will thrive in the natural world and not feel the need to bother us.
