THE CRUX OF OUR WORLDS ETHOS

Part I. Introduction

In our current world and that of yester year it is impossible for anyone whether they are of faith, agnostic or a believer of science evolution, to deny the reality of the existence of sin & evil doings in this world. It surrounds the world at every moment. The persistent battle between good and evil via people’s choices and many influences is a constant that is impossible to dismiss. There is also much good in this world, much more than evil could ever reign over. But do we ever really stop to think sometimes why such evil is depicted in our mainstream news & media? Or do we just accept it as the norm because we viewed it on the screen or heard it in our ear? Or even because it didn’t happen to us so were not too fussed. What if the way of life you live and have become to know was actually the way of life someone else had designed to lead you into? Say what?!! Some would say conspiracy right? So what about the conspirators? Who could influence the minds of millions possibly billions without them knowing it or realising what they may hold as values and morals from a generation of media and social influence.

As we know, we learn early from what we are taught and exposed to, be it at school, on TV, radio, books, peers and most recently the internet. This is our minds programming whether we agree to it or not. Let say you have a seen to be enemy that is friendly to you or gives you things you may have your eye on or wish to obtain, do you then still think of them as your enemy? Or are you just weary the next time they are nice to you? They may be using this as a tactic to get what they want from you and bending you to their will. In this case, we all would realise this as deception. Although in our thinking it is only deception until we know the truth or it is revealed to us what has or is occurring. This is the premise of what is happening in current times more than ever and at a faster and global rate. Never before have the world’s continents been closer together in communication.

Some may remember this quote from the movie ‘the usual suspects’. From this, we could interpret this to say that deception is largely hidden in plain sight.
