Great post man!!! Right up my street!
Being comfortable in the chaos is a skill I recommend everyone practicing.
Sums me up pretty well too, you get better with age i find.
The 3 bands you mention are among my favourites too, especially Pink Floyd. I've been watching some great documentaries on BBC3 recently. The one about the song "Shine on you crazy diamond" was sad but an amazing insight into Syd Barrett and what led to his mental demise. Waters captured him perfectly with his words:
"Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun
Shine on you crazy diamond
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky
Shine on you crazy diamond
You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom
Blown on the steel breeze
Come on you target for faraway laughter
Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon
Shine on you crazy diamond
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light
Shine on you crazy diamond
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision
Rode on the steel breeze
Come on you raver, you seer of visions
Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine"
I think it may be worthy of a post actually. Thanks for putting the idea in my head 🎸🎶🎹
