We may on this journey to acquire knowledge, status, material goods etc, when really the only one we need to acquire is knowledge. I find that the older we get, the more we realise these things

Yes, that actually makes a lot of sense. It explains the simple and innocent outlooks of children, until the world pulls the wool over some eyes with greed, corruption, cynicism etc..
