It didn't sound weird to me but I got something that I never thought of before. Your description of feelings when touching the stone gives me the idea that stone might really have some effects like gravity, memories, feelings or else. (Pardon me please, I am not finding a suitable word). You might know (or may be not). Muslims crave for kissng a stone, Hajr- e- aswad, in Holy Kaabah. I never got the philosophy behind it but now (after reading your reflections @samsmith1971 @sa) it makes sense to me.

aaah, what a great connection you have made there. I hadn't considered the Muslim connection before. We truly are a connected human race; we just need to open our eyes to the possibilities that connection brings as opposed to constantly seeing our difference🙏
