Can't Wait!

There is nothing better for your attitude than having something to look forward to. Over the last couple years, we have endured a little attitude calisthenics as many of these things were cancelled or were never planned. As things open up, there is some blessed pent up demand for fun stuff! I can't wait for beers on patios with buddies like D.

Live Clutch!

Speaking of D, he is is the singer for a few bands ( The Salads https://www.facebook.com/TheSaladsMusic , Mob Barley and the Railers https://www.facebook.com/mobbarleyandtherailers and The Power of Huey https://www.facebook.com/powerofhuey/) but it is the love of Clutch which we share.

If you hit play, your will be done reading this post before the first song but it is an hour and 14 minutes of concert Clutch (www.prorock.com) put together during the lockdown and streamed to the world. Some old favourites and newer songs in their studio with equipment they just purchased so they could stay engaged and performing at least a little.

We are seeing our first live concert in a couple years on May 4th and we can't wait to hear some old favourites and new tracks live from Clutch!

Travel!

I cheated a little and managed to take a trip to Mexico in October so I am not as vacation-starved as most. Still, I am looking forward to the trip that was cancelled in 2020, postponed in 2021, and possibly to happen in 2022. 3 Hive to the first person to name the country I am hoping to visit in June.

Sailing

Besides being a beerologist, jiu jitsu fighter, hockey rockstar and world traveler, I also love to race sailboats. It has been a tough couple of summers for sailing. Rich white guys have less disposable income to spend on frivolous racing sailboats, all club activities were cancelled because of Covid, and we are all looking forward to the return of races. I am not even sure there will be sailing this year but dammit I am ready!

One thing that Covid hasn't screwed with is gardening. Still, the lagging winter always has me longing for spring and thoughts stray to the garden. Not necessarily to the huge rush of expense and effort to get everything set up, but I will take that over freezing rain.

First will be the brave native flowers which seem to lead the way through late frosts for the rest of the garden. Then buds, first blooms, fruit and veggies appearing. Before long we will be in the middle of summer and #gardenhive posts from around the world. Yah I am looking forward to the garden.

So many fun things happening even before golf, camping, family events, craft brewery tours in strange cities, and live music shows played and spectated in the summer.

Seems this year is going to be the best year ever! I am not counting my chickens before they hatch. I simply feel the current year will be the best one every year. This one, perhaps even more so!

What are you looking forward to most?

Sort:

I'm gonna guess Brazil

Missed this.

Good guess knowing the Jiu Jitsu stuff but about 6000 miles off.
