Years ago before mobile phones we used to have to remember phone numbers. I am sure I knew about 30 off them and was wasted brain space really. You were screwed though if you didn't know them though.

I can still recall several from childhood but, I can't call my wife :)
Competitive cognitive artefacts are to blame. Most people can't do simple maths in their head either.
Lol. I still can recall number plates from company cars I drove over 10 years ago. It's just wrong, I don't need the info now, but it is just stuck there. My army number from 1986 85210540BG. I have three bank accounts which I know as well but those I think everyone knows theirs. I think it is easier for some than others I don't know. My head is full of useless stuff I think.
