RE: Overwhelmed by the Amount of Words ...

in #thoughts13 days ago

Your words are even more valuable now. I am sick and tired of reading texts that are obviously written by AI. I opened a substack account recently, a platform that is supposed to be a place for writers. And as you said it is full with AI written content. But the original ones are different. If I can tell them apart that I am not an expert, not even a native speaker of English, AI needs a huge improvement to be close to human writing if it ever will. Yes, people buy the cheap products but not all of them and not the whole time. Quantity is overwhelming but there is always place for quality. At least I hope so...

I think there will always be places where quality is appreciated and prefered above slop. The problem (in some sense but as you said we can still clearly see when AI was used) is that it becomes all the more difficult to spot the use of it. But the problem is not you and I. The problem is people who cannot spot the difference. But in the end, I think, it is more subjective in the sense that I feel I cannot compete with it, not that I should even compete, but what it can do is something incredible (not in a good sense).

Sorry for the late reply, and sorry for the strange reply. As I tried to note in the post, my writing has been affected by the whole AI movement, and I am again relearning how to walk (metaphorically).
