That's the challenge for early adopters - we are lonely by definition. Because the masses will only join when it's safe, risk-free and proven to work. So for now what we can do is to surround ourselves with other early adopters who keep us inspired to push forward.
PS Your wife might be more understanding and respectful of your activity than you think at first. Just wait until next time you have some friends visiting you or when you go to visit your friends. When your friends will start to shake their head in doubt about what it is you do online, your wife might be your biggest supporter and proudly start advocating for blockchain world and Steem. I'm talking from experience here.
