from the darkness
of the sky,
a single speck
of light breaks forth
shining across the horizon
the clouds begin
to spread, flowing forth
to their beds
to sleep away the
sunshine of the day
and with it
hope and dreams
begin to spread
and we, on the backs
of these ideas,
define our lives
and live it
to the fullest
embrace this
the new day,
and find that,
every time it arrives,
there is hope
and promises
of wonder
