I disagree. It's near impossible to get to know your neighbors in an apartment building. I seen some of my neighbors only once or twice in a year. Whereas in small towns everyone is out playing in their yard and you may see your neighbors daily.

I'm sorry that's been your experience with apartment living. I do agree that having a yard sure helps people get out and play where neighbors see each other. They don't have to go to a park.
