RE: What is the smallest space a person could live in?

in #tinyhouse7 years ago (edited)

Thanks! Great question @portobello8me. In my 8x8 i have a cabinet with a countertop that I found at a thrift shop. It is probably 2 feet deep by almost 4 feet wide. I use the top to cook on with a portable camping gas cooktop. Underneath I have my food storage, with a cooler, and a few cooking utensils.

This is my temporary setup, since I am still working it all out. But it works great as it is. My idea here is to have outside rooms. Such as a bathroom, screened dining/kitchen area. I will keep the inside kitchenette in my 8x8 to fix a snack late at night, or early in the morning, when I am too lazy to go outside, hehe.

I am also working out the solar situation. I will upgrade in the future to be able to run a small efficient refrigerator. I was just thinking about recording the inside of my cabin to post here, but thought I'd wait until I have done a couple of more things inside.
