অনিষ্ট হবার সম্ভাবনা থাকে তাই মানসিক ভাবে ঐ সময়টা একটু দুঃচিন্তাগ্রস্ত সময় কাটে এবং যার ফলে অনেক ধরনের অঘটনিয় দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে যেতে পারে অসাবধানতায় থাকার কারনে। এবং পরবর্তিতে সেই দুর্ঘটনার জন্য বাম চোখের পাতার লাফানোকেই দায়ী করি। আসলে এই কুসংস্কারের কোন ভিত্তি নেই। তবে বেশি লাফালে ডাক্তারের পরামর্শ নেওয়াই উত্তম। ডাক্তারি ভাষায় একে মাওপিয়া বলে। চোখের পেশিকোষ এর সংকোচনের কারণেই এই রকম হয়।
