Protests Breakout Worldwide over Tommy Robinson Arrest

Protests are breaking out worldwide over Tommy Robinson arrest and prison sentence for reporting on a pedophile trial in the United Kingdom. Adding to the outrage is a court ban on any media reporting on the arrest and making it a criminal act to report on rulings by the court in this matter.

Large numbers of people gathered to protest not just in England, but also in places like Australia, Berlin and the U.S.A. to protest the United Kingdom's abuse of Free Speech and journalism.

Twitter hashtags #FreeTommy & FreeTommyRobinson have gone viral as protests have gone global.

Derbyshire Live reports that 500,000 have signed a petition for Tommy Robinson's release

The protests must be having some effect as One America reported that the ban on covering the arrest and prison sentence was lifted this morning

Kipper Central has a video of some of the protests

ZeroHedge has additional reporting on worldwide protests and video of Tommy Robinson's arrest

This is why Steemit is so great. I heard about this here first. Can't believe this is happening, free speech is under attack from all sides. Thanks for posting this, re-steemed.

Still learning Steemit, but Facebook and Twitter have been suppressing political content and network news as long been unreliable.
