The first rebuilt version of the Hive Tools is now live!
Two tools are currently available:
- Votecharts
- Activitymap
For this project, I created a new Hive account, @tools4hive, along with a matching GitHub account. All future updates and improvements will be published there.
Known Limitation: Votecharts Above 1000 Votes
There is a technical limitation for posts that receive more than 1000 votes:
- The Hive API returns a maximum of 1000 votes.
- These are not the first 1000 votes, nor are they sorted.
- Because of this, complete votecharts for such posts cannot be generated at the moment.
For most posts, this limitation is no issue, since more than 1000 votes are quite rare. Even when it happens, the charts still show a good overall trend.

Die erste überarbeitete Version der Hive Tools ist jetzt online!

Für dieses Projekt habe ich den neuen Account @tools4hive sowie einen passenden GitHub-Account eingerichtet, über die alle zukünftigen Updates und Erweiterungen veröffentlicht werden.
Bekannte Einschränkung: Votecharts über 1000 Votes
Bei Posts mit mehr als 1000 Votes stößt die aktuelle Lösung an eine technische Grenze:
- Die Hive-API liefert maximal 1000 Votes zurück.
- Es handelt sich nicht um die ersten 1000 Votes und auch nicht um sortierte Daten.
- Daher ist eine vollständige Darstellung für sehr stark gevotete Posts derzeit nicht möglich.
Für die allermeisten Posts reicht die aktuelle Implementierung jedoch völlig aus, da über 1000 Votes eher selten vorkommen. Und selbst in solchen Fällen lässt sich weiterhin ein klarer Trend erkennen.
