I think you need one strategy that is consistently producing more green than red. Get good at it. In fact perfect it where you can place trades and not even sweet it. You will have losses. It’s part of the game. Third, if you can’t handle (emotionally or financially) the losses your taking then you're risking too much . Once I started to take risk management seriously, my losses were predetermined and small compared to wins. I started with risking 0.1% of account. I increased by 0.1 each month as long as I was still at a 75% win rate and I felt comfortable with the 0.1% loss. Risk = R Anytime I reached 2R loss max I stopped trading. I usually stop at 1R though. This means a $25k risking 0.1%, your max loss per trade will be 25 bucks. Very manageable. I used to stop at that 1R loss. Fourth- before you enter a position, you should know at exactly what price you will enter, take profit, and stop loss. All three prices go in at the time of order. If it hits your stop loss, then it didn’t go to plan and you need to move on. If you don’t have a stop loss or have a “mental stop loss”, you will have a bigger loss or be a bag holder.
