I've little idea of what is 'hot' right now. I know crypto coins are multiplying. I heard some people got burned buying the regime's shitcoins and I am fine with that.
I need to look at what is available over here these days. I have seen stuff about the tax man wanting a cut of any profits, but I don't know how I calculate that on Hive.

I've been dealing with crypto taxes from the start here. It's a real pain. Hive is an unusual situation too because we're paid in Hive for our posts or (work). I generally use an accountant and tell him where the funds come from then he puts everything in the proper categories. So far so good. Fingers crossed. I don't know about the UK, but I feel the US should simplify the tax system. In this day and age there is no need to make things so complicated. The easier it is to follow the tax code, the more people will comply IMHO.
Yeah, I seen those coins on BTCC and watched it pump in the charts over the course of the elections. I avoided that like the plague knowing the end result would dump as the news cooled and the hype calmed down.
On a side note, regime is really the perfect term. I really hope we don't have a future dictator on our hands here. It's really starting to feel that way. To much there for a comment post, but things are really strange here right now.

I think the regular tax on crypto assume you are buying and selling, but Hive is different. I'm not really taking any out for now.
I really hope things can calm down on your side of the pond. The world is watching and worried. We have our own political issues with extremists, but it's mostly peaceful for now.
It's getting really wild here. I turn on the news for about an hour a day and just shut if off shaking my head in disbelief each time. I honestly have a hard time believing any of this is happening in my country, but it just keeps going from bad to worse. I'm hoping people come to there senses and leveler heads will prevail, but it looks like we're heading in the opposite direction.
