Hydrogen powered tram in China's streets
The world's first hydrogen powered hybrid electric tram has been launched in China.
The country is seeing this tram as a big success in the environment-friendly public transport system.
Tram made by the China Railway Rolling Corporation has been commercially launched in a province of North China. The tram will not emit any harmful material for environmentally friendly environment. Only water emissions will happen from the tram.
Also, the harmful nitrogen oxide will not be made as the internal temperature of the hydrogen fuel cell is kept under 100 degree Celsius.
The floor height of the tram is only 35 centimeters from the main line, so the platform will not be required separately, authorities said. As a result passengers can easily get in the tram.
There are three compartments in the tram, so that 66 people can travel together. It can speed up to 40 kilometers per hour, if you have 12 kg of hydrogen reserves, it can run at a maximum speed of 70 kilometers.
