I am sure that no matter where you are on the planet you will admit with me that when on a long journey, we are so keen to arrive at our chosen destination that we pay to little attention to the places we pass through on the way.
Not quite long, around mid last year, traveling for a field trip, passing through what were, to me just place-names on the way. I realised afterwards that i should have taken time to look at the towns and villages en route.
The whole of our lives can be likened to making a journey. If we are always looking too far ahead - to the next outing, the next holiday, the next day even, we miss the pleasure that each day brings. Better to enjoy life as it is now, today, this very moment.
