Exploring India #Qutub Minar - UNESCO World Heritage Site

in #travel6 years ago (edited)

To start with, It is been 13 years I am living in the capital of India and I have not explored the city that much...One fine day I decided to give a short visit to this heritage site after watching the recent and hyped Bollywood movie :-P

Planning - It is easy and you will only need to carry a backpack for the camera or other attachments.

Limitations - You will only be able to carry small waist pouch, Clutch, Handbag or Camera backpack...For bags and rucksack, you need to get in touch with the cloak tower to deposit the baggage after collecting the entry ticket. You will be requested to avoid carrying eatables inside and only bottles will be permitted...however, there is a snack counter right at the entry for if you are in a modd to munch something.

Ticket - If you are an Indian citizen then you have to pay 0.50 cents per pax. If you are not an Indian citizen then you have to pay around $7.68 per pax.

Directions & How to reach - It is located in South Delhi. I would recommend taking a tube from Rajiv Chowk(Central Hub) which is heading towards Huda city center or towards Qutub Minar. Drop off at Qutub Minar metro station and take a shared auto or three wheeler if you want to enjoy the environment. Do not pay more than 50 INR from metro to the location. On the other hand, you are free to hire a luxury cab by downloading OLA app(Android & IOS).

Below are some pictures of the heritage site -
