But in fact, Myanmar is more than just a conflict-ravaged country in the north. Myanmar keeps the hidden beauty that can only be seen and felt for those who have come and known more.
For me, the natural scenery in Myanmar, is not as good as Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, or other countries, Myanmar is also not a country of interest to be a holiday destination. You could say, not as cool as Japan, Korea, and countries in Europe.
However, a closer look at the people in Myanmar, able to make the mind of anyone who travels there, changes a lot. Apparently, there are still millions of hidden goodness in the middle of the country which recently considered negative.
I went on holiday to Myanmar in March with two colleagues. We went to three cities in Myanmar namely Inle, Bagan, and Yangon.
There, I found Myanmar's innocent, friendly, and courteous citizens. Nothing frightening in the middle of them.
Greetings like "maingalarpar" for hello, "kyay zuu par" to thank you I often hear. A warm welcome a la Indonesian children is waving my hands even met.
From my experience, a female tourist, will feel safe walking alone in Myanmar, especially in the City of Yangon, Inle, and Bagan.
Unlike most, men in Myanmar respect women. This is evident from the way they treat women. Nothing disturbs or whistles when a woman passes before them.
Although the woman was wearing a slightly open clothes. Muslim women can safely blend in the crowd without being disturbed.
Besides, Myanmar people for me, still very plain and not commercial. Tourists do not have to worry about being charged a price that exceeds the market price, when buying goods or using a service in Myanmar.
Another thing that is quite interesting is the cities of Myanmar, rarely do I find people begging by the wayside or even singing.
People in Myanmar's cities are busy with their work. Although looks tired, but there is no surrender word of life in Myanmar. Every resident seemed to work hard. Old, young, even children from childhood have been accustomed to doing work.
