There is a sign as you enter this town that says ' slow down or you will be in Deepwater.' This tiny little highway town in the New England region of New South Wales (Australia) is easy to miss. Unless you need a rest break there is not a whole lot of obvious reasons to stop in Deepwater. The highway passes right through the middle and most people roar on through.
I love small rural towns in Australia. They almost always surprise me with little gems just waiting for the slightly more curious to discover.
How quirky and cool are these up cycled scarecrows mounted to the highway power poles right along the main street.
