Night Out Eating Italian At Mi Paci In Acapulco

in #travel7 years ago

We are vowing these days not to eat out at restaurants for a few reasons. We don't want to spend extra money when we can make food ourselves for less. We don't have tons of vegan options here in Acapulco. We want food that is fairly healthy.

Last night we went to a restaurant so I could take a break from having to make food with a burner and one small pot in an Airbnb that doesn't have a kitchen or a fridge.

We went to an Italian themed restaurant called Mi Paci in the zocalo square. It has been there for many years and is one of the most popular restaurants famous for their pizza.

We came close to ordering a pizza without cheese. I really wish we would have. We chose the most suitable dish on the menu for our budget and for our requirements as vegans.

We both had the spaghetti with olive oil, garlic, and peppers.

It was quite tasty but I wish it had been a little more al dente. Also it had perhaps a little too much oil. We haven't used much oil since we've been here.

What I love though is that it is sauteed with chilly peppers. We got a basket of bread with it which we used to clean our oily plates.

Each dish only cost about four dollars.

Because it is located in the zocalo square that is busy all day and all evening, it is nice to sit outside to see the things that go on. You never really know what entertainers will pass by.

Some families prefer to sit indoors to have air conditioning. Often there just isn't any space outside. It is a great place to loiter and the waiters never rush anyone.

I will have to convince Marc to go there again but next time to get a huge pizza.

Overall we enjoyed it thoroughly.

Nice photos and a great story. Eating out can be tough when you have a diet that you prefer to follow thus home cooking is better for that reason. I am glad you were able to take a break and let somebody else do the cooking for a change. Keep sharing your stories with us.

Thank you so much your wishes make me feel less guilty ha ha!

Thanks for the resteem!
