Ho Chi Minh also known as Saigon is one of famous sites for backpackers in Asia. Ishy and I went there with our parents last April for our annual family trip.
We had a 4 day vacation in Vietnam and stayed in an airbnb apartment costing us around $50 a night for 4 people. Not bad isn't it? Since we stayed around 3kms away from the city, we had to take an Uber or a cab.
We started our tour during our second day in the city and for first stop, we visited the War Remnant Museum in district 3.
Outside the museum you can see some of the tanks and the aircrafts that they used during the war. We were amazed that they were able to preserve and display it in a small area.
Indeed this country is rich in history. You need to check this museum first for you to understand the city. The museum has 3 levels of story for you to check during your visit.
