Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @softa:

At Prague Castle he looks well from different places in Prague. I personally prefer it from Petřínské sady, where there are many places where the castle can be seen. Here is one attempt in the autumn of last year.

Church of St.Ludmila, Namesti miru, Praha 2, Vinohrady. In the second half of the 19th century, the Industrial Revolution entered into Prague, the population grew rapidly. All new parts of the city, including churches, were built. These churches were usually neo-Romanesque or neo-Gothic. How to distinguish them from the 12th to the 15th century buildings? Old churches in Prague never have clocks in the tower!
This church was built between 1882 and 1892.

Take a picture of this church, I want it for a long time. I have the idea that I will go there at sunset when the façade will be illuminated by the sun, but it only happens in the winter months and it is not a lot of sunny days.

Some photos are being prepared, some are the work of an instant idea. This is the second case. But in this competition, even objects can be repeated. Prague look interesting every time of year and every time of day and from every angle...
Je to v mé příšerné angličtině srozumitelné?

Také se učím, takže já rozumím.

Great picture. There is so much history in the city. It would be so cool to visit and see.

That is some great history lesson with an easy tool to distinguish the difference. I like that and hopefully will the readers of today´s edition.

Thank you for your appreciation.

Front side of the beautiful historic building of Mendelovo Gymnazium (Mendel Grammar School) in Opava. Founded in 1883, the school is one of the oldest and most prestigious schools of its kind in the region. The school is named after Johan Gregor Mendel, a prominent Czech-Austrian scientist who studied in Opava.

Charles bidge.
The most famous bridge that crosses over the river vltava. This bridge stands on sixteen strong arches, lined with specially made tiles.
This bridge that connects (old town) and (lesser town)
The bridge also has a tower on either side. Which is used to enter the bridge.
This bridge is usually very much filled by tourists to take pictures.

What a great image!

TRIUMPH STREET in Prague
Only the coincidence that brought me to this place that combines the beauty of the streets of Prague and my passion to drive the Triumph Street which has this rare quality, that of distilling a pleasure of all times, without drowning you under the floods. 'adrenaline. No need to be agitated to have fun, no need to fight when you do not want to. No problem to avoid, but it is not necessary: rolling nose in the wind, exploit the mid-regime, that's his creed.

The Central Bohemian Highlands are sometimes also called the land of castles. Slowly on every hill we can find some ruins. Perhaps like the ruins, which is called Oltářík. From where can be seen the next 4 castles in the area. The castle is situated on top of a hill with a height of 566 meters and it is a beautiful view of the surroundings.

Awesome framing for this landscape photo.

Thank you, this photo was taken when I was just learning how to handle the composition correctly. Thanks to this contest, I refresh the places where I was and forget how great these places are. I'm making a list of places worth photographing again and better.

Thanks to this contest, I am finding out all the cool places to travel all over the world. @czechglobalhosts' contests have really opened my eyes to some of the coolest places. Plus awesome photographers like yourself get to show off their pictures.

Very happy to hear that:)... Thank you.

That is stunning!

Today I present an evening view from the famous Nuselský most in Prague. The street below with the trams on it is Jaromírova. In the back you can see the twin towers of Saint Peter and Paul Basilica and the walls of the Vyšehrad Castle. This castle is a beautiful park with wonderful views and a cemetery where famous Czech artists, authors and composers are laid to rest.

I really need to make it out to the Czech Republic and see these statues in real life. They are some of the weirdest but most interesting statues I have ever seen.

Indeed...
Stay tuned, I have some more to share but I will keep them for next rounds of this cool contest.

Walking along the Charles Bridge and its environs can be endless. You will discover various picturesque corners of the city. These types will appeal to both the artist and the photographer. Descending down the Charles Bridge, we found the marks that reported on the floods of different times.

Great entry! Thank you so much.

For today’s contest I have this photo representing Prague’s river with Charles bridge in the background , and as you can see there’s much more to do in Prague as only to drink a beer ,many swim activity in summer time will let you enjoy your day :)

"Central Bohemia"

A region where the splendid castles and palaces await you, the valleys of several rivers, mining museums, silver mines and enchanting landscapes.

Even the most remote corners of Central Bohemia are only an hour away from Prague. In sight of Prague, a varied region extends, in which the rivers meander through deep valleys, bordered by deep forests. What should you definitely see? Two of the most popular destinations are the castle of Emperor Charles IV Karlštejn and Kutná Hora, a city listed as a UNESCO monument. Meet the last of the Habsburgs at Konopiště Castle and stroll through various types of labyrinth and labyrinth in the park surrounding Loučeň Chateau.

Hluboká Castle is a historic château located in Hluboká nad Vltavou, what is in the south parth of the Czech Republic, close to Český Krumlov. One of the most beautiful Czech castles, if you never been there, you should definitely go!
Ahoj!

This photo is when I went to visit the castle of Pernštejn, not only is it one of the most significant Czech historical monuments but, thanks to its splendor and its situation, it is a place much in demand by tourists and from what I could also hear firms of movies has also been involved, it is a very beautiful castle where you can meet him, walk through its corridors and know the history.

What a great place! Well worth a visit. Thank you for giving it some attention.

This lovely spot at zámek hluboká nad vltavou. Lovely historical place for visit. Hluboká Castle is a historic château situated in Hluboká nad Vltavou, and it is considered one of the most beautiful castles in the Czech Republic. the castle was rebuilt several times.

Almost every tourist route in Prague somehow leads to the Vltava. Whether you pass by by tram on one of the numerous bridges, look at its bends from the tower of Petersshyn or the walls of Vysehrad ... even going to Cesky Krumlov (lying 4 hours from Prague almost on the southern border of the Czech Republic) you can dine at a restaurant on its shore. This is such a long one. The Vltava river is wide, many islands, moorings, from which pleasure crafts of all colors are sent.28609413.jpg

This wall is what remains of a castle Cimburk near Mestecko Trnavka near Svitavy. It was built around the year 1300 and it a great example of what you can see when you get out of Prague and start exploring other parts of the Czech Republic. There's many old castles all throughout the Czech Republic.

See on my Flickr

nice click

The city of Prague is very nice in early spring. This photo was taken in the month of April. You can see that many trees, mainly apple trees are in flower. I took this photo from the hill where the Castle is located. The red roofs of the buildings in Malá Strana can be seen in the image.

Walking by and surprised to see these lovers’ locks! Kinda of my secret spot under the Charles Bridge! Quite typical yet still feel romantic!💕

Not the best shot but an interesting story behind this scene. It is the Lednice castle.
Recently i read that Lednice is the 2nd most visited place in Czech after Prague. Even though it is a fact, it took a little while for me to believe this since Lednice is a small town. The site of attraction is the Lednice castle and the Minaret. My subsequent posts will talk a lot about Lednice, the castle and the Minaret

It's the best zoo at Zoo Praha. I have experienced. Sutch a beautyful place! Beautiful zoo. We visited in winter so very cold outside but many animals are to see inside so no worries. Do not miss it if you're in the area.

My favourite square in prague, especially spring. Beautiful place at namesti miru, praha 2 - vinohrady. Spring evening "home" at Náměšť Míru. I am waiting for the phone that can also convey the smell of the acids!

Zálezlice - Original bus shelter in Zálezlice.jpg

Zálezlice is a village and municipality in Mělník District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. The municipality covers an area of 7.61 square kilometres. In the image a bus stop with a design of a very beautiful, striking and particular sea.

This photo was taken by Jiří Večerník in 2016 in the Netherlands. Here is a google maps street view of the location the photo was taken. Please remove this photo from the contest as it is not your work.

Wow, good job Wes! I thought it was not his but I couldnt find the original image...

I am pretty sure Jiří Večerník was just on the other side of this bridge when he took the picture. He even had the GPS data within his metadata for the image which made it easy to pin point the location and find out that @sahariar01 did not take this photo. Here is a photo of Jiří Večerník from his photography profile.
