WARNING: The use of images that are not your own on which you claim the ownership will be flagged - HELPING TO STOP PLAGIARISM ON STEEMIT

Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting the week #17 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia. If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and the best 10 posts will get my upvote. I will then pick the best picture of that day that I will highlight in the separate post next day to bring the winner some extra publicity and personally visit the blog of that Steemian and upvote his/her most recent post. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically be entered into other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out approximately $2500 in upvotes and 340 SBD in rewards.

The best part of going to a new city I haven't been to before is going out and exploring. But in recent trips, I've been incredibly lucky to have a hotel room that offers an incredible view so the photography starts while I'm in my hotel robe! Such is the case here in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Chiang Mai is in northern Thailand and is surrounded by hills like the one where the sun is ducking behind. I'll have plenty more photos to share from this beautiful city.

Great image! Thank you so much for sharing.

Longji Rice Terraces
Also called Dragon Backbone’s Rice Terraces are one of the most recognized terraces in China. The construction of the terraces started 800 years ago and was finished during the Qing Dynasty around the beginning of the 19 th century. When we visited last summer the weather was quite cloudy and the rice was still growing and the terraces appeared "green". Depending on the season the picture changes a lot.

What a scenery. Just breathtaking. Thank you so much for your submission. Tomas

Thank you so much for your upvote!

This photo was taken at a street crossing in a centric zone of Hong Kong. It can be observed how crowded is this city.

I took this photo some years ago. Later I published it in different photo contest pages. From there the photo was taken and later used in different blogs and media pages, without my authorization and did not give me the credits as the author. In the this old post I proved that I am the author of this image and exposed this unfortunate situation. I have had a similar bad situations with other photos of mine.

It is sad to see how copyright is not taken seriously these days and as a photographer there often is little you can do about it. I am selling my photos on various microstock agencies for pennies on the dollar, but when I see one of my photos used online, I have no way of verifying that they actually paid for a license. Hopefully, we will have some sort of copyright Blockchain soon.

Hi, I can completely relate to you even though I do not have any personal images stolen. It is something I am trying to fight here on daily basis. Unfortunately, I am not able to screen all the entries at all times so here and then some illegitimate images enter my challenges. That's why it is crucial that all the users pay attention to that and start ''chasing'' such users out of Steemit so we can create an environment that will not only grow but be also beneficial for all of us here that want to make a difference. Thank you for your entry and have a great day. Tomas

I agree with you. I consider that steemit, could help the authors to establish the authorship of the photos. Thank you for your comment.

My entry today shows the karst Mountains of Vang Vieng on a sunny day. When we travelled through the area it was actually dry season, so there were no rice fields to be found anywhere. This here was the only exception and it looked so beautiful. If you ever visit the area, check out the Tara Resort, to which this field belongs.

Stunning shot! Thank you so much for your entry. Tomas

This photo were taken on our short vacation in November 2017 to the beautiful scenery of Vang Vieng in Laos. Vang Vieng is a highly frequented tourist hotspot located in the province of Vientiane, Laos. After exploring the city of Vang Vieng on the first day, we started to take a closer look at the surrounding on the second day and we were really thrilled. The nature is just amazing and mostly untouched.

Shot few years ago while on vacation at Alanya, Turkey. The pier nearby the hotel. Warm sea, colourful sunset.
What else do you need to feel good... :)

Enjoy the scenery :)

At the Philippines I go to dive, most of the day I spend in the water or on a boat. Do not forget the night dive. As a result, I have very little time for sunrises and sunsets.

This time we returned from diving, and I watched the sun go down into the ocean. It happened at the moment when the boat hit the shore. I had to jump right into the water together with the underwater box. I did not have time to get another camera.
I was lucky. In addition to the beautiful sunset, I saw a turtle swimming alongside. A few minutes before it was dark, we swam together.

Here’s my entry for Asian Sunday:

I took this picture of Pura Beratan, a water temple complex located on the shores of Lake Bratan, on Bali, Indonesia. It is used for offerings ceremony to the Balinese water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu. Shrouded in light mist and surrounded by lush greens, the temples look truly enchanting at the water edge.

When visiting Japan for Uchideshi program, one must go and visit Mt. Fuji! And to quote the founder of aikido:

There are many paths leading to the top of Mount Fuji, but there is only one summit - love.

I am in Malaysia right now and went for a walk last night with my friend. We were trying to get the towers all night but we kept getting distracted. Hours after trying to get there it finally happened at around, 8 PM at night. They were beautiful at night. They are bigger than I thought they were. I hope I get to go in to town and see them during the day but the weather is suppose to be crappy.

Glad you did manage to take the shot. Great pic. Enjoy your stay!

This was taken at the Maldives - the land of paradise! Everything you see seemed to be so perfect just like what you see in the ads or travel guides. The weather was great while we were there and we felt like kings and queens for the few days while we were there.

Kuan Yin Temple in Penang, Malaysia

The swimming Kuan Yin temple was a highlight of my visit to Georgetown. Georgetown is my favourite city in Southeast Asia: The street food is incredibly delicious, the architecture stunning, the street art amazing and the nature of Penang beautiful.

The photo was taken when I was on a trip to Thailand🌄
When I set the camera off and actually looked, it took my breath off... This is found in Phuket, which is the biggest island in Thailand and most of it is still a beautiful forest. It is one of the most visited places in Thailand.

Wow nice photography

Hi and thank you for your submission! Unfortunately your image does not meet the criteria of the challenge as it lacking a description of 30 words minimum. Thank you for your understanding and have a great day. Tomas

Niigata, Japan

The last few days we got quite a big load of snow so everything is kinda morphed into a winter wonderland. Even our Izakayas (Japanese Bar) look different and even more cosy and inviting. What a great atmosphere we have in our city now.

A night at Darjeeling.

Darjeeling is a small town which lies in the West Bengal state of India at the elevation of 2042 meters from sea level. Although it lies in India the people here adopt tradition and culture completely different from other parts of India. In fact, they share similar culture to Nepalese and speaks the Nepali language. I took this picture from the window of the hotel room where I stayed at night.

This shot was taken on a beach close to Pattaya in Thailand. It is about a 3 hour drive from Bangkok. When Goldenhour arrives the beaches down here always provide memorable scenes with fantastic backdrops to be captured.

Very Green Nature Trek.
Captured this when I was on a day hiking to Chisapani. Chisapani is coolest and nearest place to go on a hike or 1/2 days trek from kathmandu. We have to go through the thick jungle of Shivapuri National park to go to the Chisapani which is situated at 2140 m from sea.

Bintan

The bluest skies and clearest seas you could ever imagine. Yesterday @schmidthappens said to me that Southeast Asia has to be his favorite place to visit. I'm certainly no expert, having spent a short time in Singapore and just a couple of days in this stunning Indonesian Island, but I have to agree with him all the same!

This is probably a pretty common picture to take, when you travel to Bali, Indonesia. It was, however, a very special occasion for me as it was my second time in Asia after having pretty bad experiences with my first trip. So not only did I see really cute monkeys, I also overcame my fear from my former trip to Asia :-)

That's alright! Thanks for letting me know! Hopefully I have better luck next time ;-)

Here is my picture for Asian Sunday. This image was taken in Railay Bay, a beautiful beach near Krabi. Probably one of the best places to go to the beach in Thailand, and if you have time i recommend to rent a kayak and explore all the other beaches around the bay. Definitely one of the most beautiful destinations I´ve been.

Took this photo on the boat ride from Krabi Thailand to Raleigh island. The rock pertruding from the ocean really grabs your attention and is stunning to see. This area is one of my favorites in Thailand, there is so much beauty there and is perfect for Kayaking.

We started our journey in a group from Krabi to Phi Phi Islands and on the way, we spent our time at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world i.e Maya Bay. It was lifetime experience for me and now I am planning to visit this place again and gonna spend lot more time there this time.

On my first trip to Thailand, which became one of many, I happened across the beauty of Hang Dang Rock driving on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. The man-made quarry had created a stunning swimming area and I noticed this one adventuresome couple rock climbing along the hundreds of feet high quarry walls. I caught the woman hurl off the cliff towards her partner swimming out to meet her and it's one of my favorite images.

Majestic Himalayas : To the Mountains to the Sky !
Photographed during one of my motorcycles rides to Ladhak, India. Being born and raised in southern part of India , seeing the Himalayas in the North for the first time was mind blowing experience for me. I was surprised and amazed to see the kind of terrain. The landscapes in India varies a lot when you travel from state to state, thats why its also know as Incredible India !

The City of Balanga, Bataan

This photo was taken from a recent trip from Bataan in the Philippines (Jan. 14, 2018) which it was my first time to visit the place. The two establishment there are the Plaza Hotel (left) and Galeria Victoria Mall (right) which it has some awesome pre-colonial Spanish architecture thus it gives me the impression that I was turning back in time. Yet at the same time that I just realized that I also imagined that which it was like was under the Japanese Occupation.

Juxtaposition of Ancient/Modern - Angkor Wat Entrance Gate

Angkor Wat is an amazing temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world. Originally built as a Hindu temple in the early 12th century, by the end of the century it had become Buddhist.

People and vehicles have been passing under this arch for the last 900 years...

A place I visually always like very much Incekaya Su Kemeri .. On the Tokatli Canyon in Safranbolu The Grand Vizier built by Izzet Mehmet Pasha dates back to the 17th century. This work, which was used to transport the water to the other side, is in a great location. The İncekaya Aqueduct is a total of 6 arches and is 116 meters long. It was free to cross over beforehand, but now it is not allowed. The altitude is too small to be understated, you are looking down from a height of about 30 meters. Eni is 1 meter in some points and 2 meters in some points. It is always my ideal place for photography. Think! Photographs taken under the sweet voice of the underwater water.

The temples at Ankor are amazing. But Bayon is my favorite. With all the stone around the temple it was nice to find the pop of color in the greys. It's amazing that someone took the time to care for the statue in this way.

While trekking the round of the Annapurna, I walked on the edge of very high cliffs, climbed up interminable stairs made of rocks, I had difficulties breathing each steps I made toward the end of this trek.

But my lord what a lifetime memory, this was definitely worth my pain and suffering! I found somehow where my limits were and how far could I push myself beyond it.

The only thing I would change if I had to do it again would be the weight of my backpack! 13 kg was definitely a bad choice that got me to be burned on my shoulders and hips.

This a a shot from the amazing landscape I could see while walking on this trek, my guide walking in front of my served me as a scale on this photo to really appreciate the immensity of the place.

Hello @czechglobalhosts this is my entry for the first time.
For anyone interested in volcanoes, visiting Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is a must. It is the largest volcanic region in the province of East Java, Indonesia. Visit this park and see the clumps of Mount Semeru, an active and volcano on the java island. The temperature at the top of Mount Bromo ranges from about 5-18 Celsius. To the south of the park is a rolling plateau divided by valleys and some beautiful small lakes, extending all the way to Mount Semeru.

And Africa is done already 😫😩😫. I hope you do this again. But why can't we download images and make proper references. That way, we won't be plagiarizing. Just saying though .

Good photo challenge you are doing anyways. It gives the reader the opportunity to sight-see through a lens. Awesome move!

The challenge is ongoing.... Using personal images only give a room to recognize and monetize talented people here on Steemit and at the same time make the platform to grow and attract other talents not only in the photography field. Tomas
