Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting the week #43 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.

If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out thousands of dollars in upvotes and hundreds of SBD in rewards.

After today´s Asian photo contest, the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge will be followed as per below rotation and then starting again with Asia on next Sunday.

• Monday: Australia and New Zealand
• Tuseday: Antarctica + the world’s oceans
• Wednesday: Africa
• Thursday: Europe
• Friday: North America
• Saturday: South America

See the winner of the last week´s Asian Sunday @jpphotography with the following entry:

Railay Beach Viewpoint, Thailand. Located near Krabi, Railay Beach is a popular spot for rock climbing. I do some rock climbing myself, but in Railay I went on a different kind of climbing trip when I scrambled up a small trail to reach this beautiful viewpoint - covered in mud.

I generally don't post photos from hotel grounds but I'm willing to make an exception for this one. This is the Grand Luang Prabang hotel in Laos. The hotel is situated right along the Mekong River offering spectacular views (don't worry, I'll eventually post some). This was the view from my room. You can see the French colonial inspired design of the building, along with the incredible green from the humid, rainy weather. I completely loved my trip to Laos and recommend the country to everyone!

This is a picture of the Qutang Gorge, one of the narrowest gorges of the Yangtze River, taken from Baidicheng, literally "The White Emperor City" which was made famous by "The Romance of Three Kingdoms" for being the place where Liu Bei, the Emperor of Shu Kingdom, escaped to after failing his attempt in revenging for the death of his sworn brothers, and eventually died from sadness of losing his brothers

Wow, that a good one. Looks incredible, well done!

Thanks! Glad you like it!

Fantastic as always!

Thanks Tomas!

Wat Traimit Samphanthawong
I took this picture yesterday on my walk through Bangkok inside the Wat Traimit Samphnthawong. Be sure to have a look inside when you are around. It's not to overcrowded and it's truly an peaceful place to be.

Thats a great shot! Love the bokeh

Thanks @jpphotography! Appreciate it !

Simply stunning.

Thanks @itchyfeetdonica! Appreciate it :))

nice contast color :)

This is awesome. I love the orange with the lack of color everywhere else.

Thank you @derangedvisions :) Yeah, i also really like the contrast between Black & White + the orange color. Appreciate it !

Street in Malacca, Malaysia

In Malacca, modern day comforts blend in with the unique heritage of the city: In its history, Malacca has been part of the Portuguese, the Dutch, the British and the Japanese Empire before becoming part of Malaysia.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

Great image. A little cut off at the bottom. (At least for my taste)

True, this damn bike was too fast :D

Nice capture. I just posted about Malacca a few days ago, and seems I took photos of the same street! ;)

Wow, really? I will check your post out now!

i can see the heritage of those mix cultures in this street photography you took :)

It really illustrates it, doesn't it?

What a great mix of cultures.

This is my entry for today contest :)

I just went here last week, and it's so beautiful. If you ever want to visit a rainbow mountain in Asia, you should check this one.

This rainbow mountains are part of the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in China. Layers of different colored sandstone and minerals were pressed together over 24 million years and then buckled up by tectonic plates. It's similar like Vinicunca mountain, in Peru, both has different layers of sandstone colors.

My favorite! I'd say this might be a winner^^

Thanks @davedavis91 🙏, your picture is great also

What a beautiful shot! I've always wanted to visit this park in China but haven't got a chance yet, but I visited the rainbow mountain in Peru. They do look alike! :)

Thanks @itchyfeetdonica :) i'm the opposite of you, hehe i've always wanted to go to the rainbow mountain in Peru, but it's so far away from where i live.. but luckily there's one in China which is closer and i think both are amazing beautiful

Wow, what a superb image!

Thanks Tomas :)

This is the beach charm of "Gampong Jawa" "Banda aceh", Indonesia. some time ago I visited this place to enjoy the natural beauty of the sunset. In addition to the natural beauty, this beach there are also some athletes who do windsurfing exercises.

What a beautiful sunset!

The Fisherman

Hard at work, great image!

Pretty storming sunset at central Tel-Aviv embankment with a view to Old Jaffa. Very low shooting point and a bit longer exposure to freeze moving waves. Very nice cloud formation adding nice compositional symmetry to the wave curve.
Combined with warm colors all those making pretty pleasant, but still a lot dramatic view

Enjoy it!

I shot this photo on a hot air balloon ride above Cappadocia, a semi-arid region in the Asian part of Turkey. It was an otherworldly experience that I would never forget. Our balloon was gently drifting over the fantastic landscapes when the orange rays of sunrise kissed the fairy chimneys, orchards, vineyards, pigeon houses and cone-shaped rock formations.

One of my favourite place on earth! i've been there and done the hot air baloon too, your picture reminds me of the trip.. simply beautiful :)

Mui Ne, Vietnam. On this picture you can see the fishermen's port of Mui Ne. A both quite and buzzing place in very colorful shapes. Correct me if I am wrong, but those hot-tub-boats are very common due to size-policies that ships are being taxed on. They are perfectly round and definitely not what you would expect a boat to look like^^ From what I heard, people are paying no or at least fewer taxes on those buckets than they would on real ships^^ Fascinating to watch these skilled captains ;)

I remembered those unique round shape boats, but last time i didnt see much colorful boats :)

Great capture! The depth of field is interesting!

I suppose I shot it on f1.8 ^^

This photo was taken during a treck in Taman Negara National Park, in Malaysia. We had reached about half the way, and started to rain reaaaaaly heavily! We were forced to stop a little bit, and when the rain stopped, the mist started to appear on the forest, giving this great effect:

Crystal Bay on Nusa Penida

I took this shot on the end of a beautiful day trip we made on the small Island of Penida. We´ve spent the whole day cruising around the island on our scooter until we reached Crystal Bay at the end of the trip.

The man changing the prayer flags, hanging new ones under Buddha's sight and wisdom eyes. Boudhanath is one of the biggest spherical Stupa in the world and a magical place to visit. I got transformed while being over there, I just felt greater than ever!

Location: Kathmandu, Nepal.

Siem Reap, Cambodia is popular for the Angkor Wat temple but there are also other historic temples and this Angkor Thom is one of them. It is the largest site in the Angkor Archeological Park.

I took this photo last August 2015 during my vacation in Siem Reap. And that signature is my real name, by the way, Lumen. 😊

Amber Fort.jpg

Built in 1592, Jaipur's Amber Fort is a top tourist destination. What's easy to miss - but I found fascinating - are the men and women "behind the scenes" - the people who have been responsible to keep the palace clean and intact for hundreds of years.

Taken from my latest post entitled #letsgoto: Jaipur, India

Sabancı Central Mosque, Adana Turkey

Adana.jpg

Adana, Turkey is probably best known to visitors as no more than a jumping off point to the more famous Cappadocia region. Stick around in Adana for a great taste of authentic Turkish daily life. When you're there be sure to visit Sabancı Central Mosque, situated on the banks of the Seyhan River.

Bangladesh, Sylhet

The nature has indeed has its beauty and to be honest there are things that just happens out in there that we do not even have the idea of.While the other day I was out in hoping to get something to capture in my frame but was not able to find anything and in time I reached a highway bridge and I really liked the place and the calmness of it and so I was there till the Sundown and to my luck this beautiful scenario was out there just waiting for me to capture! I was really mesmerized that how beautiful and how perfect the sky is and how the color was at the brightest in that exact moment, In addition the river was as well making the reflection of the sky !
I really loved that moment !

One of many temples of Pingyao ancient city, China.
This city has not change a lot changes since the Ming Dynasty. It is completely surrounded by high ramparts where we can admire many homes of traditional architecture like this one.

I will participate soon.
Thank you so much
