The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 Steem in total.

Looking at the dusk over the rain forest in Springbrook national park, Queensland Australia. Springbrook is a nice park to go hiking with a highly diverse fauna and flora. You can even observe glowing worms in the caves of the park.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #104 – winner announcement!

@jpphotography Tuesday of Antarctica and world's oceans entry:

Hill Inlet Lookout at Whitsunday Island, Australia. The spectacular hill inlet lookout on Whitehaven beach on Whitsunday Island is visited by many cruises departing from Airlie Beach. That was nothing for me, so when I found out that there is a national park campground at the beach, I took a ferry there, camped for a few days and swam through the Inlet with my camera in a waterproof bag early in the morning before the tourists arrived, taking in the panoramic views by myself.

My panorama was created on the Zugspitze. The Zugspitze is 2962 meters high. It is the biggest mountain in Germany. The view from there is beautiful. We went up and down with a cable car. Some people also climbed.

A large male iguana basking in sun on a rock next to a remote beach on the famous Mayan Riviera, Mexico. Iguanas are very common in this part of Mexico. According to an old legend, they are reincarnation of the ancient Mayans.

Great capture ~ ✨ ~ I always had a soft spot for reptilians :)

Thanks :) Me too. That´s is also why I hosted this contest some time ago :) Too bad you didn´t participate :(

Oh I just became aware of it now ~ I believe I miss a lot of contests because I am always so consumed and distracted by my own mind (- among a thousand other things -)... ~

Color Of Life
The sun shines in upon Cathedral Rock and Oak Creek as a thunderstorm passes by giving off a beautiful rainbow. The riparian environment along the creek is host to many plants and animals that can't survive outside of this zone. The rain is always welcome and helps to show us the color of life. Sedona Arizona USA.

As always the perfect combination of impressive & angelic :))

Thanks for the wonderful compliment.

I visited this famous Maya structure - the Temple of Kukulkan at the Chichén Itzá archaeological site in the Yucatán state of Mexico. The triangular shadows casted on it around the Spring and Autumn equinoxes represent the feathered serpent god, and clapping in front of it mimics the sound of the Quetzal bird.

Taken in Canmore Alberta. We were ending another fun day in the mountains, it was time to head back to our accommodations. The sun was beginning to set and the sky started to turn purple/pink behind the mountains.

Lonely tree from the Louisiana's bayou. Nature always find a way to adapt and survive everywhere. Even with flooded roots, that tree is up high, solid and full of life.

The way to a socialist residential district in GUANTANAMO!

When we took a break on our tour of Cuba in Guantanamo, I went with my camera in the side streets. As if I've traveled back 100 years with a time machine: carriages on the streets and fresh water containers on roofs. The moment was unique, but also shows Cuba's retrogression compared to the world.

A Grey squirrel from Montreal, Canada. I've met this guy on a walk in Mount Royal, a hill in center of Montreal. I've heard they are a bit out of control in the city, but they are just too dam cute!

One of the most recognisable landmarks of New York City, the Brooklyn Bridge is a treat to photograph from all angles. Also it offers great views of the city and a really pleasant walking spot.
