@travelshots Asian Sunday entry:

The Marina Bay Sands Hotel is one of Singapores landmarks. Unfortunately it's allowed only for hotel guests to relax at the infinity pool on the top. Nevertheless it's possible for everyone to buy a ticket for the "Skypark" that is located right next to the pool. So you can enjoy the same breathtaking view of Singapores skyline from there!

Dinosauer Eggs at Moeraki beach.. Or mayby just uniquely formed rocks?? In any case it's a extraordinary location with all those round boulders littering the sand. The morning I visited I was even lucky with the light and got those beautiful pastle colors.

@softa Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

The island of Tenerife is a great place to shoot seascape photography because it lies in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. So the only thing that can block your pictures are just clouds. That's one of the reasons why I come back every year, and every time I bring pictures like this one.

A colorful Sunset in Madagascar mesmerizes us with the artistic richness of a impressionist painting. The water picks them up, to remix them into a powerful symphony of shapes and hues that surround us on all sides. Marvelous!

This is the Manhattan Beach Pier, just south of Santa Monica in Los Angeles, CA. An original version of this pier, built in 1901, was destroyed by a storm in 1913. This current pier, constructed in 1920, is still the oldest concrete pier on the West Coast of the United States. Today, this beach is well known as a popular volleyball beach (there were dozens of courts directly behind me taking this photo) as well as a surfing and fishing spot. And as you see, it's a great place to watch a sunset!
MCPierLE.JPG

Awesome colors on the sunset. When I visited California a few years ago I wanted to make it out to some of these famous piers to get shots like this, but I was too busy at Disneyland. Great shot.

Thanks! The funny thing is I live in LA, and even I don't make it down to the beach all that often to get shots like this. Maybe because I know it'll always be there when I do find the time. Well, next time you're out here, you'll have to get some pier shots. It really is a great way to watch a sunset!

I am definitely going to have to make it out to the beach to get some of these types of shots. If I can deal with the traffic. That is the main reason I didn't make it out there. I drove into Hollywood one day and hated the traffic, so after that, I didn't want to do anymore driving in that area. I don't know how you guys deal with it everyday.

Yeah, traffic can be mind numbing. And that's why I don't go to the beach very often. It can take 45-60 minutes to get there. I'd rather go to a friend's house near me with a pool. :)

No surf over there?

This is a very nice sunset pic, the colours are beautiful and the long exposure gives a great movement to the water.

Awesome capture :)

Thanks! There was surf, but there was also a 15-30 second lull between waves, so I have a mix of surf and calm shots which was kinda ideal!

Bryce Canyon

Although Bryce Canyon is not as "Grand" as the Grand Canyon, its unique rock formations are an allure by itself. During sunrise and sunset the reddish stones start glowing and it's just wonderful to sit at the rim and watch the scenery. One day I would love to see Bryce Canyon during the winter time and the red stones covered with snow.

What a fantastic image. That place is something else. I hope to make it there one day.

Horseshoe Lake, Canada

Near Jasper in the Canadian Rockies you can find this clear lake, surrounded by endless trees and nature. It seems you always can look down to the bottom, what a gem in this pot of jewels

Thank you so much for your wonderful contribution. Truly appreciated.

To give something back I featured your contest in my last post.

Thank you so much for giving us this nice platform to share our pictures with the world.

Horseshoe.jpg
The Horseshoe Bend is very popular but an absolutely highlight in every road trip. During our @roadtrips we have spent a lot of time exploring the area around Page. The landscape is totally beautiful and there are so many secret places to explore. Don't miss this area in your road trip!

Amazing photo with stunning colors! Horseshoe Bend is definitely must see. And congrats for photo once again, I didn't succseed so much with mine at that place :)

Yes, it's not so easy to photograph. Next time I need a fish eye lens ;)

Cool pic! The canyon looks so amazing from there. I guess you can probably also go along the river by boat, can you?

This would be an awesome trip, sailing the great canyon ;)

Yeah we saw some boats down there, but I don't know any details. Would also love to do a sailing trip ;)

That sure is an amazing place and the image. It has been a while I got one submitted.

Congratulations :)

Taken two days ago on the Oregon Coast. Seriously one of the most epic moments of my life. I've been to the coast many times but this spot was new to me. Back in Seattle now but will be dreaming of this place..

I have seen other photos of yours from the Oregon Coast and they have all been amazing just like this one. Having that person in the shot really shows how massive those rocks are. Awesome shot.

The fierce power of the ocean captured in your fantastic image. I wouldn´t have even noticed the person if Wes did not point him out. Thanks!

It is time for first photo of my recent trip through USA. Today I am sharing perhaps the most famous arch on the world – Delicate Arch.
Everyone who has ever visited it knows, that lighting is the best just before sunset. It is definitely worth waiting for…

Please click on the image to enlarge

I have also been at the Delicate Arch at sunset but there were always people before the arch ;) I am currently blogging about my USA road trip from New York to San Francisco. Would be happy if you give it a visit ;)

Yeah it is pretty crowded there most of the time. I have send my girlfriend to stop the row of people wanting to go to the Arch for a minute and she deserved a huge applause from people with "real" cameras. Haha.

Will definitely stop by your blog. Seems like you have awesome potential :)

Haha, that's a great idea. Guess someone like your girlfriend is very useful when you are a photographer :D

The place look magnificent, great time to capture it though! The warm light is perfect to accentuate the red - oranges colours of the place :)

Great clic !

Thank you for your kind comment :)

Great shot. I live a few hours away from this place and need to try and make it down some time this summer.

Thanks! That is a blessing. Whole Arches NP is amazing! With your photography skills it will also be fun :) So go there and enjoy...

Another amazing pic from those series. Wonderful!

That sky is amazing. Great shot.

Thanks a lot :)

I'm no photography expert but I love that you included the binoculars! really adds to the composition in my opinion. Great shot

Thank you :)

Great composition. Thank you so much for sharing with everyone. Tomas

Thank you. The competition was tough here...

Lost in the craziness of time square! That place is the most insane area of New York, I remember walking through the street, turning around a street corner and suddenly finding myself right in the middle of what looked like a totally different world.

Location: Time Square, New York, USA.

Thats right, New York and the Time Square are amazing with so much things to explore. I am currently blogging about my USA road trip from New York to San Francisco. Would be happy if you give it a visit ;)

Yeah mate, I will check this out ;)

That sure is a crazy place. I cannot even imagine living in the city as big as New York. I prefer small quiet places:)

Hahaha, I totally agree with you but I've got shared feelings! The ideal to me is living in the back country but not too far from a big city. NY is a golden mine when it comes to architectural photography or street photography.

Glacier national park.jpg

The Glacier National Park is one of seven national parks and is located in Montana, United States, bordering the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia. It contains many glacial areas as shown in the photo, which cover a large part of the park. It is a beautiful place to walk and meet, it is cold and the views are wonderful.

breathtaking view! I cannot imagine what it would have felt like to stand on that edge!

A wonderful sensation, the difficult thing for me is to endure the cold!

That looks so unspoiled. Beautiful place, wonderful image. Tomas

The Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming is for me the most amazing national park in America. All the different kinds of geysers and hot springs with their beautiful colours are unique in their own way. This one is the Grand Prismatic Spring.

DSCF4986.jpg

Not only the place is amazing but also your image. Truly wonderful.

Taken this past New Year to end the celebration of Canada's 150th anniversary year, along the Icefield Parkway near Jasper. Even after a few days of brutal cold(-40's) the river still wasn't fully frozen.
DSC_3618.JPG

That sure is brutal. We had -15 - 20 this year and that is already the way to much. Great entry.

Thank you!! I hate the cold but there is no way I cancel a trip to the mountains! I work outside in all temperatures so I have gotten used to it by now.

The city of Seattle in the Washington State, is very interesting and beautiful. It is surrounded by lakes, rivers and mountains. In this photo shows the downtown skyline, and it was taken from one of the many marinas around the city.

Located right on the edge of the Caribbean and surrounded by palm trees and pristine beaches, the pyramids of Tulum are certainly some of the most beautiful Maya ruins in Yucatan. I really enjoyed my visit!

The symbol of freedom. The symbol of the USA. First thing what have appeared when you came to the new world from your old life in Europe by the ship, from the year of 1886. The Statue of Liberty, here she is.
Ahoj!

Here I s my entry. I know that sky is way to bright:-( I’m not a professional but I like taking photos, especially when we travel. This photo is from Colorado mountains. I liked the color of the lake. In general Colorado state is very beautiful place to visit. The air is really fresh and the nature is really stunning.

This is a confusing submission, it's Basque folklore but I've taken the picture during the Trailing of the Sheep festival in Sun Valley, Idaho which has a big cultural influence from the Basque Country.

I show you the beautiful town of Pemberton, British Columbia, in Canada, it is a small town located in the Coast Mountains, north of Vancouver. Where there are a number of beautiful lakes in front of mountains that give a very striking landscape for tourists. It is a small town with a great natural landscape.

Priest Lake Idaho

This is Kalispell Island as viewed from the sky on a golden evening in early July. Although many people visit in the summers to experience the scenic views and fresh air, Priest Lake is relatively undiscovered considering it's incredible natural beauty.

My entry is from Washington D.C with all magnificence of White House.. When I reached to Washington my first action was to come here.. It was a rainy day ut it didn't stop me to come here so hopefully there were not that much people and I enjoyed this view..

New York, the City of dreams. One of my favorite places in America. A rich landscape of art, architecture, life and everyday hustle & bustle. Equally impressive is the history of this city, where so much happened and so many big and small stories began.

The lead singer of this street band belts out the chorus on the steps of Metropolitan Museum of Art. His band mates back him up with ease while selling cd's like hotcakes.

Street performers are so fun to watch. Great shot.

Cheers, @derangedvisions I spent more time watching these guys than I did in the Museum. No microphones or speakers, just powerful voices and the double bass. Great fun.

There is so much undiscovered talent that performs on the streets just for tips.

And they add so much to a city as well. A silent city seems a bit wierd

The following picture was taken amidst the hustle and bustle of downtown Chicago on a fall Saturday. I was walking with my two friends when this sky bridge called out to me and stopped me dead in my tracks. I don't know what it is about sky bridges... but I absolutely love them and their fantastical appearance. Thank you

This one is really nice shot👍🏻

thank you! I appreciate it

I'm going to go with a picture of Chichen Itza in Mexico at night with a big stone snake head looking like it's about to take a bite out of El Castillo. It was nice to see it with about a billion less people at the site and a temperature that was actually comfortable to walk around in.

The Cloud Gate is a public sculpture and is the centerpiece of the AT & T Plaza at Millennium Park in Chicago, Illinois, United States. This work of art seems an object arrived from another planet and deposited in a mysterious way inside the park. It was inaugurated in 2006, but very soon the public made it their own and started calling it "The Bean", due to its bean or bean shape. Sculpture is today an object of contemplation and play. Its enormous glossy gently curved surface, which reflects the reality of the environment, invites to be contemplated. In addition, this huge mirror of magic curves, has the ability to make us go back to childhood, because we soon enter the game to start looking for us among their reflections. The sculpture is very popular among tourists, who take the opportunity to take photos of an object with unique reflection properties.

Another great location and must-see are the Niagara falls. These are located on the border between USA and Canada (Ontario). I lived rather close and was able to go there multiple times in different circumstances. Ice and snow, summer and hot, spring... It's always impressive to see them. The best view on the horseshoe falls is from the Ontario side, where I took the photo.
