Many people warned us about the border crossing being complicated and dangerous so we prepared ourselves thoroughly prior to entering Mexico. In the end, everything went super smooth and we were in Mexico in an hour with our tourist visas and the temporary importation of the vehicle in hands. We decided to cross to Tecate, California since we heard it was less busy then Tijuana and we were happy we did.
