When my wife and I are on holiday to Japan, I think when in Hokkaido this will only deal with snow. It turns out my guess is wrong, it turns out there are riding tours in Sapporo village. My wife and I were taken to the Jyozankei area, at the foot of the Tsurugi mountains, where there lies a ranch dedicated to horseback riding, Wild's Mustang. My wife and I will feel the pleasure of riding in Sapporo snow.
Western feel so thick feel so arrived at Wild's Mustang is designed like a ranch. I was with my wife and also the Hokkaido Trip entourage entered in a wooden building designed like a bar in cowboy movies, complete with bush ornaments of game animals. Presumably I feel in Texas rather than in Hokkaido.
The ranch is pretty wide actually, but because the snow is falling so much, all the land on this ranch is covered with snow. Only a few snow-free areas are in stables and other farm animals. The rest of the white snow covered the village.
Wild's Mustang is quite famous in Hokkaido as a comfortable horse riding place. Usually Japanese families come with their children to try horse riding here, introducing Japanese children with wildlife while feeling the cold and fresh mountain air. Its location is not too far from Sapporo is easy for people to come here.

I was greeted by some ranch staff who dressed ala wild wild west with friendly. Large cowboy hat, flannel shirt, leather vest and long boots. Apparently we were dressed the same, so I feel like Django from Indonesia.
The horses in Wild's Mustang are said to be imported directly from America. Mustang horse is said to be a horse that is American self, his posture is upright and gallant, tall while his feathers are smooth. It feels like the horse's posture is bigger than the horses in Indonesia in general.

Before the horse riding started, Wild's Mustang manager briefed me and my wife along with the rest of the group. And given also how the riding is good and right, because later we will be released alone, not with the guide.
Apparently there are special tricks to control the horse, such as to drag it to run faster or stop. Or ask to turn. Then it is also taught to gently stroke the hairs on the nape of the horse, so there is a sense of comfort for the horse and not rebel.
After the introduction was complete, we were taught a horse orientation. I'm fourth after the horse, this horse is the guide horse. Following the leading horses we were asked to practice what was taught during the introduction of the riding. I was a little trouble because apparently it had been hours of eating my horse riding. But my wife seems to have started to master the riding procedure.

In this horse orientation, I saw how the ranch was managed. Horses are stuck in clean cages with guaranteed food. Separated also between the horse mustang and other horses, because there is also a horse here.
After 30 minutes of orientation then the riding event begins. With the leading horse is the guide, we are released to control our own mustang horse. My wife is seen enjoying riding this horse. Moreover, the horseback trekking up and down to follow the contours of the hills around this horse riding.
Unlike in Indonesia, if the horseback riding is accompanied by guides and guided everywhere, here all are released, all independent of their own horse. That is why riding here is so challenging, I am not only taught how to ride but also how to control and set the horse to be willing to obey the will of the rider.

There was an interesting incident when one of us, had to stop. Apparently the horse had his schedule rested, so suddenly the horse lay down and lowered the rider. Staff immediately alert and help finally the horse is resting. Note of the incident is how safety remains the number one and the horse is already very well trained to secure the rider.
In one riding package in Wild's Mustang not only the horse alone can be enjoyed, but also how good and true education about riding. Visitors are indirectly taught not to look at horses as objects but as friends, riding is not just riding it, but how to convey feelings to the horse so they will understand the desire of the rider.
