Introducing the dumplings

你好朋友!

I moved to China three months ago and I will be sharing insights into this interesting country along with reviews of dumplings I encounter along the way.

As an introduction, here are some places I have eaten dumplings:

•Oxford, my hometown. You can get really good gyoza here. Mmmmm.

•Nepal. I spent 2 months here in 2016 and had some pretty excellent momo.

•New York (city). These squidgy bois were from a Polish restaurant so they were pierogi. Honestly, they were not good. My worst dumpling experience to date, tasting of disappointment and stolen dreams. I’m still open minded about pierogi though.

•New York take 2. Went to an underground take-away dumpling restaurant. I don’t remember if they were tasty but the guy who served me was, which was lucky because otherwise I wouldn’t remember buying them.

•Melbourne. This city has a big China town where you can get very cheap dumplings. It’s all you need in a city honestly. Melbourne was rubbish but the dumplings kept me there for 4 months (I’m kidding, Melbourne is the best city in the world, dumplings or not). I celebrated getting my Chinese visa by having China-town dumplings for lunch then I went to China four days later. China.

•China. More details to follow.
