Breath Taking Places in My Country - The Philippines!

I just finished My class with a Chinese student and it was amazing how she's familiar with all the beautiful places here in The Philippines. She said that my country is beautiful and full of abundant nature.

Even if The Philippines belong to a 3rd world country and one of the most corrupt nation. I am still proud to say that My Country is still beautiful! Despite of all the negativity happening nowadays, because of corruption and the battle of the government vs drugs. I still believe that one day, not just my country, but the whole world will find peace and love will reign. Having said that, I would like to share with all of you some the beautiful and breath taking hidden treasures of my country.

1.) BIRI LEYTE

Biri Island is in the Northern Part of Samar where you can find Giant Rock Formations Resisting the Wrath of the Pacific Ocean.It is also where San Bernardino Strait and Pacific Ocean meet. The rock formation is about 18 to 24 million years ago in shelfal continental slope and formed by the underwater tectonic plates movement generated by earthquakes according to the study conducted by National Institute Geological Sciences Research of UP Diliman.

2.) ENCHANTED RIVER

Enchanted River in Surigao. This is one of the recent most popular attraction sites in the Philippines. The river was only discovered in recent years and it is well known because of its crystal-clear waters where you can see the riverbed even at the deepest part. You can see different kinds of school fish. Up until now no one knows where the water in the river comes from some say the flow is connected into the Philippine Sea or it is from a spring from the mountains.

3.) TUBBATAHA REEFS NATURAL HABITAT

Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is located in Sulu Sea. It is one of the hidden gems of My Country. It has incredibly diverse marine species. CNN ranked this place as the 8th out of 50 best dive sites in the world. I hope that Our Government will do their best to continue the preservation of this habitat for the marine life.

4.) KALAMANGAN ISLAND

A crown jewel of Leyte. It has one of the unique magnificent sandbars. In fact, it’s becoming the stop over of international cruise ships . You can also find whale shark and thresher shark here.

5.) CORON

You are probably heard of Palawan since it is one of the most popular tourist spots here in my country. The main water activity you can do here is island hopping, snorkeling and scuba diving where you can see the Japanese shipwreck of the 1940's.
