It's 5 hours from Bangkok by bus ( Mochit bus Terminal, because there are two bus terminals in Bangkok ). It's not so touristy and crowded place where u can perfectly enjoy the nature in peace.
The Erawan National Park where you can find the waterfall is located at northwest of Kanchanaburi, around 45 minutes from the center. There are actually few waterfalls in the province but this Erawan is the most beautiful among them . Because it is not near from the center , most people would bring their own tent to camp inside the national park and you can also rent a tent if you don't have. Facilities like toilet is pretty accessible every camp site . There are plenty restaurants near entrance ( gate ) Thai and western foods are both available . Entrance fee is 300 thb if you are not Thai .
