Where your 12$ can take you when you are in Philippines?

in #travel7 years ago

"A beach with budget of 12$" this may sounds crazy but this is not a joke! when you are in Manila, Philippines and you want to go to the beach with 12$ in your pocket it is and really possible! :)

This is Masasa Beach in Batangas

Masasa Beach is arguably the best beach in Tingloy, the only municipality in Batangas that is not on mainland Luzon. Its main island is the fish-shaped Maricaban, off the tip of Calumpang Peninsula separating Balayan Bay from Batangas Bay.

The truth is, the sand here isn’t as pearly white as what you would expect in Boracay or Palawan, but what Masasa Beach lacks in the brightness of its sand it makes up for in the vibrance of waves. Its crystal clear, shallow waters give off a beautiful turquoise shimmer, something that will catch your attention even from a great distance.

How to Get there?

From Buendia Taft, ride a bus going to Batangas Grand Terminal. Fare is 3.07$

From the Grand Terminal ride a jeep going to Mabini and depart at Anilao Port. Fare is 0.72$

Once at Anilao Port look for the List from Coast Guard and list your names for you to be able to ride the boat going to Tingloy Island. They are observing a first come first serve policy.

Boatride from Anilao Port going to Tingloy island takes an hour. Fare is 1.27$

From Tingloy island, ride a tricycle going to Masasa Beach. Fare will be 0.29$ per head.

Imagine your 12$ can take you in here in the Philippines

If you bring your own tent you can place it for free
