Vi voglio raccontare una tappa del viaggio di mio zio...
Partito nelle prime ore della giornata, ha raggiunto il santuario di Nostra Signora dell’Apparizione di Santa Rosa, un piccolo comune vicino ad Ambato. Questo santuario fa risalire le sue origini ad una apparizione avvenuta nel 1695. Alcuni anni dopo fu costruita un chiesa che dopo fu ingrandita. Arrivato nel periodo in cui non si celebravano le messe, mi racconta che il sacrestano gentilmente gli ha aperto la porta per visitare la chiesa. La vergine di questo santuario è stata dichiarata protettrice di tutta la diocesi di Ambato da circa mezzo secolo.
In seguito si è recato ad Ambato per fare un giro della città e per salutare la famiglia che lo ospitava.
Anna è una signora che abita in una casa costruita dal padre che per motivi religiosi aveva messo sotto delle colonne alcune immagini della Madonna. Nell’ultimo terremoto è stata una delle poche che si è salvata. Ha sette figli e più di una ventina di nipoti.
Nella sua parrocchia di San Giuseppe gestita dalla Congregazione di San Giuseppe fondata da Leonardo Murialdi svolge la sua attività quando è libera dal lavoro. Sembra che non si stanchi mai svolgendo il lavoro di taxista.
Poi c'è la figlia Ivonne del 1975 che professa la religione evangelica in cui crede molto. E’ separata ed ha due figli; la femmina vive con lei. E’ una signora molto generosa, guarda con un sorriso alla vita nonostante i problemi che ha dovuto affrontare. Ha perso il lavoro da poco e spera di poterne trovare un altro quanto prima.
Mio zio ha accompagnato Ivonne a a svolgere la sua attività religiosa nel parco vicino alla chiesa insieme ai suoi compagni coinvolgendo nella loro attività alcuni bambini che stavano nel parco.
