I think that the last time I had come to the plain this tractor worked

This weekend, trip to the Venezuelan plains, about 5 hours from my city, I had a long time without visiting this part of the country and the plains seemed infinite but very beautifulhere we can find landscapes that undoubtedly emanate tranquility and peace at almost intoxicating levels, especially for people accustomed to the noise and chaos of the city.

We started the journey by dawning so there was still a lot of fog and cold

The Venezuelan plains are a magical world where stories, legends and virgin nature converge, it is a bright and hot universe that brings joy to all who visit it. Any trip to the plains of Guárico should start at San Juan de Los Morros was the first city we arrived, in this area were fought very important battles of our war of independence.

Another thing we can say about this area of the country is that it is characterized by agricultural activity, there are many people who are dedicated to livestock where the production and breeding stand out: Poultry, cattle, goats, pigs and milk. In addition to the fishing of several species and also has a significant place the cultivation of some cereals such as rice, corn, beans, tomatoes and do not forget the delicious mango.

next to the road we will always see cattle

In Guárico State, traditional popular culture has a variety of manifestations where we can name the joropo called llanero, for the use of the harp as a guide instrument and is that the llanero accompanies his work with the cattle, singing songs of arreo and milking . In this area of the country we will find much the use of proverbs, myths, legends, stories and anecdotes as well as the rituals of saints, virgins, objects and souls.

If Venezuela is one of the countries with less tourism in South America, it is not for lack of attractions, but for not knowing how to exploit the riches of the country such as Los Llanos, with its immense savannahs full of wild animals. When you want to travel through Venezuela and have not decided your destination, the plain is always a good option for you to learn more about our nature and our traditions.
