Rangitoto is Maori for bloody sky
This is my view from the top, with Auckland city in the distance.
This is the overgrown crater.
The volcanic Island is 5.5 km wide, has 2311 hectares of land area and is 260 metres high. It is a 25min ferry ride from Auckland. About 1 hour climb time. Totally worth it.
