Lovely pictures, in my opinion, no destination is bad until and unless you self-explore those destinations. I do see a lot of reviews both positive and negative on the internet but until and unless I go and visit that place I will never remove that place from the destination list.

Thank you! You should definitely go there and experience the magic of Stockholm yourself :)

Wow, this is a wonderful travel photo log @kremena.shtereva! The buildings, the scenery, the photos are all amazing. Are there many museums there? Looks like your next destination will be Indonesia. I hope you find the name of the band. Indonesian bands have pretty nice songs I find. And Stockholm is now in my list of places to visit, thanks to you :).

Thank you so much! Yes, they are many museums and attractions! Not sure if a month will be enough to experience it all :) If you like the buildings, maybe you will enjoy a rooftop tour :) We didn't have time for that because we were there just for 5 days (4 night actually) but it sounds like fun and next time I will definitely find time to view the city from above :)

Oh rooftop tour is nice! I did a quick bus rooftop tour in Greece once and it was fun! Though it was drizzling a little. Aah.. holidays are always too short, aren't they? :D

Billy Idol is fun isn't he. Did you ever find out the name of the Indonesian band? The mix of instruments on the stage intrigued me quite a bit. I'm trying to imagine blending them all together.
Stockholm looks like a rather laid back place or was that just the mood that you brought with you. Thank you for sharing it was quite an enjoyable read. It's on my bucket list, but you may have raised its rank a good bit. (Just how many vegetarian restaurants did you find there?)

Ah, not yet. But I will let you know if I find the name of the band! They make good music and should be known :) Thanks so much for the kind words! I find this destination quite valuable because Swedish people are a great example in many ways of how the things should be done. We all can learn a lot from them :) We found 5 vegetarian restaurants (Google maps showed me that there are even more!) but we managed to try 4 of them :)

That would be awesome, I enjoy just about any kind of music. Especially when it's different, just by the instruments in the stage i can tell it would be cool. I saw a post yesterday on kiefers new album, it is pretty awesome and a bit unique.

I also don't have any restrictions when it comes to music. I have been to hundreds of concerts and parties and I know that I can enjoy any kind of music as long as the musicians play through their soul :) Kiefer's album you said? Happysad album? Sounds lovely in my opinion :) I recently found the time to finally listen to the last album of Bonobo and I am impressed as always :)

Yes, Happysad, Highway 41 is one of my favs. I can't find a version on Youtube other than an old dude doing a drum cover and hosing it up. Keifer is a heck of a piano player... There are a few on the album that feel kind of like he is just throwing stuff out to finish the album but most are great.

yeah right coinsandchains. showoff.

lol, I think I saw you on a movie the other day, I think it was called Grumpy Old Men.... ROFL....

Stockholm really is a beautiful place with great views and amazing places to explore. Spending time on the ship must have been a really wonderful experience.

I do love the palace, it has some really beautiful views and surrounded with plants which are well taken care of. It must have been refreshing being there

And those museums, they really do hold great history especially that with the 17th century ship, it so great to see that they kept the ship even though it did sunk and never really got to sail the open sea. I do like that one with the sculpture as well, really great work was done there!!

And Gamla Stan (the old city)... I love how the building look over there, really colorful and beautiful.

You seem to love great music and I believe you enjoyed a whole lot of it while there. Your stay over there was quite an exciting and eventful one. We really should learn to practice Fika.. lol

We were really lucky with the weather. During the summer, Stockholm is amazing! So colorful and beautiful :) Enjoy practicing Fika! It's a great way to recharge!

Summer is the best time to visit Stockholm, then! I can see how amazing it is through the photos...

I sure will enjoy it! Hahah.

The pictures are incredible 😊 I have only heard good things about Stockholm but unfortunately still haven't managed to travel there. I will definitely plan a trip in the near future..

howdy from Texas kremena.shtereva! wow you guys had a great time I can tell and you presented a wonderful image of Stockholm so great job. I had no idea that there were so many Vegan restaurants over there, that has to be unusual or not for Sweden?
You guys had a fine Fika!
Do you have other destinations in the future or is this a one-time deal?

Thank you so much! I am glad you like my work! Those restaurants were actually vegetarian but almost everything on the menu was vegan, which was very convenient for me. I knew there are many vegetarians (including vegans - statistics shows 10% of the population) in Sweden but my expectations were exceeded :) I love traveling in Europe but currently I haven't planned to go abroad yet. I have a few destinations in mind but we will see which one I will be able to afford first :)

howdy again kremena.shtereva! oh how interesting that there are so many vegetarian restaurants there, I think here in America the percentage is less than 1 percent! lol. maybe that will change. thank you so much for your reply!

I really hope the situation will change. 10 years ago I was in America (Cincinnati, OH) for four months on a work and travel program. I was a vegetarian back then and it wasn't that hard to find veggie food. But what I noticed was that the majority of people don't know and don't care where their food is coming from, whether their body needs it and what are the consequences of their choices. I really hope people become more curious about the topic. For the last 10 years in Bulgaria, things have changed a lot in a positive direction. I believe this is just the beginning :)

well howdy there kremena.shtereva! I doubt it things have changes much in America, I think most people are poisoning themselves everyday and we have an epidemic of obesity, heart disease, cancer and diabetes.
Like our town has every type of fast food joint and they're always packed!

So you are from Bulgaria..how interesting..I never hear anything about your country, what goes on there? lol. I mean it must be a stable government?
It's a democracy?

Unfortunately, the government is anything but stable. We are the poorest member of the European Union because we allow our government to rob our country. We have bad roads, homeless dogs, and cats on the street, most of our hospitals are in really bad conditions and the education system is certainly not good enough. The government doesn't care. The people who work there seem to forget that they also live in this country and they share with us our motherland. As long as they have huge houses, fancy cars and properties here and there, they are good. It's pathetic. But I believe that this is our lesson because as a community, we need to be united in order to thrive. And hopefully, the things will change for the better. It's worth it because Bulgaria is an amazing country, a real piece of Heaven. We have stunning nature and so much history! Some places here are so powerful, mystical and magical, that you can feel it in your bones. I make road trips almost every week and soon I will be sharing some of my journeys if you are curious :)

howdy again kremena.shtereva! wow I'm so sorry that the government is like that. So obviously the local government officials are bought off by the EU officials and paid well to take from your country and give it to the EU who just squanders it!
That's treasonous.
Well I very much look forward to your road trips in Bulgaria, I am following you now.
thanks so much for the explanations and information!

nice picture dear keep posting amazing posts @kremena.shtereva

From the photos alone, you certainly looked having great time during your vacation. I like the architecture and cityscape photography.

Is Fika the same as yoga or meditation? How is it done?

Thank you! Fika is more like a coffee break but it is usually accompanied by some tasty sandwiches or something sweet. You can skip the coffee (well, Swedish people don't because of the cold weather, they just need some fuel), just be mindful and enjoy the moment :)

Oh, I see... you mentioned about ritual so I thought it is like yoga or meditation or something like that. Thanks for the clarification. 😊
