Hi Dabuddha. The country is heavily sanctioned so the import of modern cars is low. Furthermore the average salary in Cuba is $30 a month so even if the cars were available most people could not afford them. When speaking to the locals many of their cars have been in the family for generations. One major incentive to keep the cars looking this good is due to tourism. Tourists will pay well to take a ride in one of them.
