I totally understand where you are coming from in regards to the elephant rides. I have traveled in many countries and whenever there is some activity like that, I am always very unsure if I should participate or not. Some times I do and some times I don't. Either way I do feel very remorseful for the animals who have no choice. Yes, elephants are beautiful, wonderful animals, Especially when they are in the wild and free.
