Kenya Safari Holiday - Tsavo East Part 1

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

I traveled to Kenya with my husband and 2 children to experience nature in its true form. We stayed in Mombasa at the Savora White sands Hotel for 2 weeks and during that time we visited the Tsavo National Parks for 3 nights.

The drive was approximately 4 hours from Mombasa before we arrived & stayed at a Luxury Safari Lodge In Tsavo East National Park - Ashnil Aruba Lodge.

This place was amazing, from the moment we arrived, we had a water hole right outside our lodge, with a heard of elephants taking a drink which was just great to watch.

We had 2 connecting rooms which was plenty of space. To be honest all we did was sleep there for the night as we were out on game drives most of the time.

Our game drives were with a driver who had 8 years experience and he did his best to ensure we saw all the animals we had hope to see and gave us some wonderful memories to take away.

We saw Lions , Elephants, Impala, Zebras, Giraffes, Buffalos, Warthogs and many species of birds, so many animals, unfortunately we only caught a glimpse of a cheater as it was so well hidden in a tree in the distance, and no leopards.

If you ever get a chance to visit Kenya, the Tsavo is a great option to combine with a beach holiday as its not as far from Mombasa as the Masi Mara.
