My wife and I stayed at Railay beach in 2009. We got the train from KL, then got off at the Malay-Thai border, then got several buses (one broke down), a tuk-tuk from Krabi and finally a long boat to Railay beach. We saw the climbers on the beach and thought it looked like fun. We didn’t do it though.
