Travel Diaries - Throwback from our Holiday To Kashmir

in #travel4 years ago

Kashmir, located in the Northern part of India, and also called as Heaven on Earth, no doubt it stands for all it's qualities described. It is also called the Switzerland of India because of the presence of the majestic ice clad mountains in the region. This one state which is the most beautiful in our country, is sadly always a place in conflict due to it's geopolitical condition. When we visited there the one thing we observed was that it is one place again which is full and rich of resources. One of the highest and the best quality producer of Saffron, One of the best Apples come from this region, same goes with Spices and much more.

The place is so beautiful and can attract a lot of tourist all around the year and can be one of the richest state of the country, but sadly when we see the local life of the people there, it is a sad state of affairs. There is lot of poverty in this region and because of this they normally over price most of the services and the products.

Also the other thing is that the media always hypes up and creates tension on that place, when we visited it was just the same, but then it was on our list for a long time so we decided to go ahead. We would see some demonstrations in some places but then overall it went fine and we really had no hassles. Yes but sometimes in actual there are some major outbreaks there and in such time you can land into trouble.

Is'nt this a beautiful sight

The last 2 days we spent at the boat house, which was a decent experience. We had stayed in Kerala also in one of the boat house, but the one there it was very small and cramped up, so here mentally we were set of not expecting much, but then to our surprise this boat house had amazing big rooms with a separate dining area. So overall accommodation was a good experience and evening time we spent going around the Dal lake.

Ahhaaa it was such a wonderful and a memorable trip. A wonderful family vacation.
Kashmir is a very beautiful place, a once in a life time must visit. But if you are planning a trip you definitely need to to fist check on the conditions in that place and then make your travel plans else it might get difficult moving out around.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

When did you go ? My daughter always tells me to take her there, but as you said, due to tension always at place, we have so far not planned. I was thinking to go to Himachal instead, which is peaceful at least.

We visited 3 years ago, yes you may just check up on the condition before planning as sometimes even with little unrest the locals get very hyper and this directly impacts the tourist. Himachal is also a beautiful place, I am sure you will have a wonderful time.

Glad that you liked Kashmir.
Unrest or not, Kashmir is safe for tourists but sadly no one wants to visit a disturbed area.
I hope that peace prevails.

Yes it is really a very beautiful place and I do have plans to again visit in future one more time.
